Our Services

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB).
Services may be provided in-home, in-school, in-community, and center-based. Designed in support of children, adolescents and adults with challenging behaviors resulting from developmental disabilities, including, but not limited to, cognitive impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Our programs are customized to the individual's needs and learning styles. Individualized services may encompass pre-academic/academic, behavioral, social, and emotional challenges. Services are also designed to address the needs of typically developing children and adolescents. Services include:

  • Early Intervention (EI) through 13 years of age
  • Functional Behavior Assessment
  • Behavior Support Planning/Implementation
  • Pre-Academic Assessment and Programmatic Management
  • Behavior Support Training for Parents, Teachers, Other Caregivers
  • Parent/Caregiver Advocacy for Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
  • CBH Counseling services support the emotional well-being and mental health of children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families. Our counseling services include:

  • Child and Adolescent (Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
  • Sexual Abuse Therapy for Children/Adolescents
  • Trauma (children)
  • Individual, Marriage, Couple and Family Therapy
  • Substance Awareness/Use/Abuse Therapy (high risk adolescents and adults; evaluation, rehabilitation)
  • Bereavement Therapy (children, adolescents, adults)
  • Adoption
  • Our specially trained staff provides Assessment and Testing services to determine strengths and weaknesses and develop goals. Services also include administering psychological assessments. Our assessment and testing services include:

  • Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS-R)
  • Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP)
  • Psychological (Intelligence, Adaptive, Achievement)
  • Speech and Language Evaluations
  • CBH also provides Speech Therapy services to assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. In addition, CBH offers Occupational Therapy services to support sensory, movement and coordination challenges.
    Groups:
  • Social Skills (Group and Individual Therapy): individualized services to address the child's/adolescent's difficulty in making friends, managing frustration and anger, and resolving conflicts with peers/siblings.
  • Sib's Place: provides a safe and secure place for siblings/peers of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other special needs to discuss and process feelings and emotions openly and honestly with peers who have siblings with disabilities. This group process is further supported by a caring, experienced, professional staff in a fun, engaging, therapeutic and educational setting.
  • The Circles® Program: teaches appropriate social distance and levels of intimacy between the individual, parents, peers, friends, community helpers and strangers.
  • Parent/Caregiver Advocate for Individualized Educational Plans (IEP): Seasoned staff provides support to parents and caregivers in administrative matters (preparation of documents and participation in IEP meetings/the IEP process).
